I’m interested in roles where I can make a meaningful, positive difference. I have over 30 years' broad ranging professional experience, including community, academic, public sector and organisational development.
I have strong interpersonal and communication skills and specialise in facilitating intercultural and interprofessional interactions.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
RESEARCH FELLOW, LA TROBE UNIVERSITY
2010 - 2014
My primary role was to evaluate major structural reform across the Faculty of Health Sciences. This included assessing and reporting on staff climate and culture, the impact of reforms on educational experiences of several thousand health profession students and informing policy development. I used mixed methods to collect and analyse a wide range of qualitative and quantitative data.
INDIGENOUS ENGAGEMENT LEADER
2012-2014
In response to a faculty review that highlighted the lack of an Indigenous Engagement Strategy, I led a number of initiatives to address this need. These included assessing Faculty readiness to engage with Indigenous content and students, development of the strategy and a new Open Educational Resource- Indigenous & Intercultural Health.

Managed pilot project to develop and evaluate an interprofessional program for students of health professions. Established and sustained a state-wide network of health professionals and health care agencies to support clinical and community-based student placements. Designed and conducting related research to investigate factors affecting interprofessional education and practice.

Led a range of academic development initiatives. Designed and developed new graduate student website including online discussion forum and refereed journal. LEV is a non-profit, community-based charity providing drug and health education services. I managed about 40 dynamic Educators and 25 community committees across Victoria to provide services to 250,000 students and their communities

I developed and validated an original intercultural competence assessment inventory. I worked with several hundred managers in multinational companies as well as thousands of students. It has been used by several universities in Australia and abroad. I estimate the PhD write up is about 80% complete. It was postponed due to a range of family commitments. I hope to complete when circumstances allow.
